Easter travel destinations and testing requirements
Knowing where to travel during Easter can be difficult. Despite the decreasing number of Covid-19 cases, travel abroad continues to be a lengthy and confusing process. At Covid Home Test we have a passion for understanding ever-changing travel regulations around the world.
This Easter we are composing a shortlist of destinations we believe are easy enough to travel to and make for the perfect Easter break.
1. Dubai

Dubai mostly remained open to international travellers during the two-year pandemic run. This is largely due to their 90% vaccination rate, strict mask mandates and social distancing measures that remain in place.
During April, Dubai’s temperatures hover around a comfortable 30°C, which makes the city a popular Easter destination. You can enjoy revitalising desert escapes or beach days and spend your evenings shopping at the famous Dubai Mall. Immerse yourself in the city’s modern architecture, skyscrapers and unrivalled choice of leisure and entertainment.

A Covid-19 PCR test with QR code within 48 hours of departure.

2. New York City

The USA borders remained open throughout winter despite the Omicron variant peak in cases. Currently, Covid-19 cases are steadily decreasing and the country has no plans to close its borders anytime soon.
New York City is, as expected, regaining its pre-pandemic charm welcoming visitors from all around the world. So this year we can easily imagine spending Easter taking a long walk in Central Park, passing an afternoon at the MoMA and enjoying the city lights at night.

3. Ibiza

Spain and Balearic Islands are open to vaccinated visitors. Furthermore, the country no longer requires pre-departure testing, which makes the travel process much easier.
Ibiza is the perfect place to disconnect from the city life routine. Becoming the ideal wellness island in Europe, particularly since last year, the Ibiza experience is no longer about the nightlife but more oriented towards an active and healthy lifestyle. The Balearic island offers everything you need to spend a refreshing moment with your family and friends. Free your mind with long hikes and incredible Es Vedra sunsets, enjoy lunch breaks by the beach and boat day trips to Formentera.

4. Mexico

Anyone returning from Mexico will tell you the country makes you feel as though the pandemic never happened. Aside from its brief time on the UK Red List, the country never closed or imposed any restrictions on international travellers.
Mexico is a land of rich and ancient Mayan culture set against showstopping vast deserts and untravelled beaches. In contrast, the country doesn't shy away from luxury beach resorts, and busy nightlife.
Whether you are up for adventurous and active holidays or find yourself missing the sun after a long winter, we think Mexico could be the place for you. Being slightly further away from Europe, it offers a great opportunity to prolong the Easter break and give visitors more time to unplug and enjoy the change of scenery.
